Tuition Scholarships support American students of Polish descent for graduate studies in any field
at colleges and universities in the United States. The scholarship program also supports masters
degree studies at the Jagiellonian University Center for European Studies and various English
Schools of Medicine in Poland. United States citizens of non-Polish descent may apply for funding
when their studies are primarily focused on Polish subjects.

be an active National JACL member. JACL Membership is open to everyone of any ethnic background. All

Junior Fellowships are for graduate students conducting research for their doctoral dissertations in
India. Senior Long- and Short-term Fellowships are for those holding the PhD degree. Performing and
Creative Arts Fellowships are available to accomplished practitioners of the arts to conduct their
projects in India. The AIIS fellowship competition is not restricted to those from its member
institutions. Non-U.S. citizens may apply as long as they are either graduate students or full-time
faculty at colleges and universities in the United States. Approximately 35 fellowships are awarded
each year.

application year. Students with a Korean heritage studying in the United States regardless of
citizenship status (including Korean Nationals).

degree-granting program — in the United States. A New American is defined as a green card
holder or naturalized citizen if born abroad; children of naturalized citizens if born in the U.S.,

current and past DACA recipients).

The Edmund S. Muskie Internship Program is a summer internship program funded by the U.S. Department
of State that provides emerging leaders from Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia with the
opportunity to gain real-world experience complementing and enriching their graduate studies in the
United States.

Research must contribute to Palestinian studies. Any area of Palestinian studies will be considered,
including the humanities, social sciences, economics, law, health and applied sciences. Purely
scientific research is not eligible for this fellowship competition. Research must take place in
Palestine, Israel, Jordan, or Lebanon.

The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) offers funding to Scandinavians to undertake study or
research programs (usually at the graduate level) in the United States for up to one year. Awards
are made in all fields. Applicants must be citizens of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway or Sweden.

The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) annually awards scholarships to outstanding students
in the summer for use during the following academic year. The awards will be made on the basis of
academic merit and divided between two groups of students. General Category I: Italian American
students who demonstrate outstanding potential and high academic achievements. Area of study: open.
General Category II: Those students from any ethnic background majoring or minoring in Italian
language, Italian studies, Italian American studies or a related field, who demonstrate outstanding
potential and high academic achievements. Scholarship awards are awarded to undergraduate, graduate,
post-graduate, medical, dental, and legal students.
