This unique, two-year fellowship program is a joint project of the Department of Family Medicine at

The Cahaba Family Medicine Global Health Fellowship is a one-year post-residency fellowship that
aims to train family medicine physicians who wish to devote much of their clinical practice to
international medicine. Upon successful completion of the fellowship, fellows will have obtained a
Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (through the UAB Gorgas Course), and be eligible to sit for
the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene CTropMed exam for a certificate in tropical
