American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Administrative Fellowships

JPS Health Network Healthcare Administrative Fellowship

Harkness Fellowships in Health Care Policy and Practice

The Commonwealth Fund's Harkness Fellowships provide a unique opportunity for individuals who are committed to advancing health care policy and practice to spend a year in the United States conducting internationally comparative research with mentorship from leading U.S. experts. Alongside their research, Fellows engage in a series of leadership development activities, gain an in-depth understanding of the U.S. health care system and policy landscape, and build a robust network for cross-national exchange and collaboration. The program is open to eligible individuals from the following countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. The Atrium Health Center for Advanced Practice Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship

Committed to preparing our APP workforce to excel as competent providers and confident leaders within our healthcare teams. Our one-year, post-graduate fellowship program is appropriate for new NP and PA graduates, as well as experienced APPs wishing to change discipline or career paths. Focus: Prepares nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs) for competence and leadership in acute, primary, and urgent care settings; includes specialty tracks like urgent care, orthopedics, neonatology, cardiology, and critical care. Brown Family Medicine Faculty Development for Global Health Fellowship

This unique, two-year fellowship program is a joint project of the Department of Family Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University/Kent Hospital of Rhode Island, Thundermist Community Health Center, and Blackstone Vallue Community Health Center, leading federally-funded community health centers in Rhode Island. Family physicians pursuing careers in global health are often called upon to engage in teaching, leadership, clinical care, and research in low- and middle-income countries. This fellowship is specifically designed to equip physicians with the skills necessary to meet these needs. The goal of the program is to provide fellows with a strong foundation in teaching, leadership, and clinical skills for a variety of settings and learners, curriculum design, and educational scholarship. Focus: Equips family physicians with teaching, leadership, clinical, and research skills for global health settings. Duration: 2 years. Eligibility: Family medicine graduates; offered by Brown University, Thundermist, and Blackstone Valley Community Health Centers.
 

Cahaba Family Medicine Global Health Fellowship

The Cahaba Family Medicine Global Health Fellowship is a one-year post-residency fellowship that aims to train family medicine physicians who wish to devote much of their clinical practice to international medicine. Upon successful completion of the fellowship, fellows will have obtained a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (through the UAB Gorgas Course), and be eligible to sit for the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene CTropMed exam for a certificate in tropical medicine. Focus: Trains family physicians for international medicine, including tropical medicine, ultrasound, wound care, HIV, and TB care, with up to 12 weeks of international rotations. Duration: 1 year. Eligibility: Post-residency family medicine physicians.

Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Fellowship Program

Ideal candidates for the IHI Fellowship Program have strong foundational knowledge and experience in quality, safety, and quality improvement capability. Candidates seek to hone their knowledge and skills to effectively institute impactful change and achieve organizational goals in today's complex health care environment. Focus: Enhances strategic, operational, and thought leadership skills in quality and safety for healthcare professionals worldwide. Duration: 14 months. Eligibility: Professionals with strong foundational knowledge in quality, safety, and improvement.
 

Health Affairs Health Equity Fellowship for Trainees (HEFT)

The Health Affairs Health Equity Fellowship for Trainees (HEFT) and the Podcast Fellowship programs provide multi-layered mentorship to early-career researchers. As part of the Fellowship programs, our fellows receive mentorship from experienced Health Affairs authors and editorial staff. The HEFT fellows prepare for their manuscripts to be published in Health Affairs or another journal, and the Podcast fellows produce a podcast season which will air as part of the Health Affairs Pathways podcast channel. Focus: Provides mentorship to early-career researchers to prepare manuscripts on health equity for publication, advancing equity in health services research. Duration: Varies. Eligibility: Early-career researchers in health services.
 

WHO Fellowships Program

The PAHO/WHO Fellowships program is a technical cooperation tool that builds human resource capacity by training public health workers in country priority health needs. Since 1948, the PAHO/WHO Fellowships program has facilitated training programs for health practitioners and researchers from around the world. Fellowships are country-based with selection and funding provided at the country level.Focus: Builds technical capacity in the Western Pacific Region, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, short-term, and long-term training for health staff to improve health outcomes. Primary Care Diabetology Fellowship at Brown University
